Jerk Turkey Sliders with Mango Slaw

Ingredients
For the Sliders
  • 4 Hawaiian Sweet Rollssplit
  • 1pound Ground turkey
  • 1tablespoon paprika
  • 1tablespoon Salt
  • 2tablespoons of garlic powder
  • 2tablespoons black pepper
  • 2tablespoons onion powder
  • 1teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 2tablespoons oregano
  • 1tablespoon thyme
  • 1 green applepeeled and minced
  • 2 sprigs green onionfinely chopped, divided
  • 1/4cup pankobreadcrumbs
  • 1/2teaspoon Salt
  • 1/4teaspoon black pepper
For the Mango Slaw
  • 1/4cup mayonnaise
  • 1 mangopeeled and julienned
  • 3cups green cabbagefinely shredded
  • 1 carrotjulienned
  • 1/2teaspoon Salt
  • 1/4teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2teaspoon Salt
  • 1/4teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
To Make the Patties
  1. Preheat a pan to medium high. Mix the turkey, jerk seasoning, apple, 1/4 cup scallions and the panko in a bowl; season with salt and pepper. Form into 1-inch-thick balls and flatten into tiny sliders. Make a small indentation in the middle of each with your thumb to prevent it from puffing up during the cooking process.
  2. Brush the pan with canola oil. Grill the turkey patties until browned and cooked through, 4 to 5 minutes per side.
To Make the Slaw
  1. In a large bowl, combine mayonnaise, mango cabbage, carrot and the remaining green onion. Season with salt and pepper and toss to coat.
